    • These include parking violations, speeding tickets, and other government-imposed fines.
  • Payment Process:
    • Notices received by VR Car Rental Service will be forwarded to the member.
    • The member must electronically transfer the penalty amount to VR Car Rental Service upon receiving the notice.
  • Non-Compliance Fee:
    • If the member fails to settle the penalty within the specified time, a charge of ₹1500 per 15 days will apply until the payment is made.

3. No-Show or Late Pick-Up

  • No-Show:
    • If a member fails to pick up their ride within 4 hours after the booking period starts, the booking will be automatically canceled.
    • The advance/security deposit will not be refunded.
  • Late Pick-Up:
    • If a member arrives late to pick up their vehicle, the booking start time will not be extended.
    • The member will forfeit the time lost due to the delay.

4. Over-Speeding Penalties

  • Speed Greater Than or Equal to 100 K.M./Hr.:
    • Fine: ₹2000 per instance of over-speeding, recorded by VR Car Rental Service tracker.
    • Membership Expulsion: If over-speeding occurs more than twice, the member’s VR Car Rental Service membership will be permanently revoked.
    • Additional Penalty: Any government-imposed fines will also be the member’s responsibility.
  • Speed Greater Than or Equal to 120 K.M./Hr.:
    • Fine: ₹3000 per instance of over-speeding.
    • Membership Expulsion: Immediate revocation of membership rights.
    • Additional Penalty: Any government-imposed fines will be charged to the member.

5. Smoking and Drinking Penalties

  • Smoking:
    • If a member is found smoking, smoking ash, or smoke smell is detected in the vehicle:
      • Fine: ₹1000.
      • Additional Charges: Cleaning charges as per VR Car Rental Service terms and conditions (if applicable).
  • Drinking:
    • Fine: ₹5,000 for any evidence of drinking in the vehicle.

6. Vehicle Damage Policy

  • Unintentional or Accidental Damage:
    • Members are liable for damage costs up to ₹50,000 (the rest is covered under full-wrap insurance).
    • Scratch Penalty: ₹2500 per part scratched.
  • Intentional Damage or Negligence:
    • If damage results from negligence or a violation of law, the member is fully responsible for:
      • The complete cost of repairs.
      • Compensation for loss of service caused by the damage.
  • High-Speed Damage:
    • If the vehicle is damaged while being operated at speeds exceeding 100 K.M./Hr., the full damage cost will be charged to the member.

7. Towing and Impounding

  • Member Responsibility:
    • If towing or impounding occurs due to the member’s negligence, the member is liable to cover the full cost.
  • Vehicle Failure:
    • If towing or impounding is due to vehicle failure, the member will not be held responsible.

8. Lost or Damaged Keys

  • Penalty: ₹300 plus the cost of replacement if the key is lost or damaged, even minimally.

9. Cleanliness Policy

  • Cigarette Ash:
    • A fine of ₹1000, plus ₹500 for foot-mat cleaning, if ash is found in the vehicle.
  • Seat Covers and Interior Damage:
    • In case of soiling or damage to seat covers, door panels, or window panes (intentional or unintentional):
      • Fine: ₹3000.
      • Includes costs for interior and exterior cleaning/dry cleaning, to be borne entirely by the member.

10. Loss of Vehicle Documents

  • Penalty: ₹20,000 for loss or destruction of vehicle documents due to the inconvenience caused to VR Car Rental Service.

Tolls and Inter-State Travel Policy

All-India Permit

  • All VR Car Rental Service vehicles come with an All-India Permit, allowing travel across most states in India.
  • Exceptions: This permit does not apply in the “Seven Sister States” (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland).

Travel to Jammu & Kashmir or Leh/Ladakh

  • Members must inform VR Car Rental Service in advance before traveling to Jammu & Kashmir or Leh/Ladakh.
  • Caution: Members are advised of potential conflicts with local taxi unions in these regions.

Toll Tax Responsibility

  • Member Liability:
    • Members must pay all toll taxes (private or government) incurred during their ride.
    • Toll taxes are not included in VR Car Rental Service pricing plans.

State Entry Tax

  • Inter-State Travel:
    • Members are required to pay State Entry Taxes for inter-state travel.
    • State Entry Taxes are not included in VR Cars Rental Service pricing plans.

Non-Compliance Penalties

  • Members who fail to adhere to toll and state tax regulations as per Indian law may face:
    • Legal action by government authorities.
    • Payment of fines/penalties as per government norms.
  • VR Car Rental Service Responsibility:
    • VR Car Rental Service will not be liable for any penalties imposed on the member for non-compliance with toll or tax regulations.

11. Booking Cancellation Due to No-Show

  • If a confirmed booking is not picked up within 4 hours of the specified pickup time, VR Car Rental Service reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Definition of Unintentional or Accidental Damage

  • Unintentional or accidental damage refers to any harm caused to the vehicle that is not due to the negligence of the member who rented the vehicle from VR Car Rental Service

Liability and Insurance Coverage

  • Liability Insurance: VR Car Rental Service provides unique liability insurance for all its vehicles.
  • Member Responsibility: The member is liable to pay for the damage up to ₹50,000. Any damage exceeding this amount will be covered by the vehicle’s insurance.
  • Security Deposit: The damage cost will be deducted from the security deposit. If the deposit does not cover the full damage cost, the member is required to pay the remaining balance as additional payment.

External Property Damage

  • The member is fully responsible for any damage to external property, whether government-owned or private, caused by the incident or collision.

Towing and Impounding Charges

  • The member is responsible for any towing or impounding charges incurred when bringing the damaged vehicle back to the pick-up point.

Violation of Traffic Rules or Terms

  • If the member is found violating traffic rules or the terms and conditions of VR Car Rental Service the incident will be treated as intentional. In this case, the member will be held responsible for full repair costs and service loss.

Insurance Company Determination

  • If the insurance company deems the damage intentional or consequential, the member will be required to pay 100% of the damage cost and service loss. This will be outlined in the accident report.

Legal Action

  • VR Car Rental Service reserves the right to take legal action against any member responsible for damage to the vehicle, in addition to any fines imposed.

2. Intentional Incident or Collision Policy

VR Car Rental Service outlines specific terms for incidents or collisions deemed intentional due to negligence, whether related to traffic laws or the company’s policies.

Definition of Intentional Incident or Collision

  • An intentional incident or collision refers to damage caused by a member’s negligence in following the traffic laws of India or the terms and conditions of VR Cars Rental Service.

Member Liability for Intentional Damage

  • In the case of an intentional incident, the member is fully responsible for covering 100% of the damage cost.
  • Penalty: The member will also be required to pay a penalty of ₹50,000 to cover the losses incurred by VR Car Rental Service.

Insurance Coverage

  • VR Car Rental Service reserves the right to deny liability insurance claims for vehicle damage in cases of intentional incidents.
  • In such cases, the entire cost of the damage will be imposed on the member.

Legal Action and Additional Penalties

  • VR Car Rental Service reserves the right to pursue legal action against any member responsible for intentional damage, in addition to any fines or penalties imposed.
